Walking For Freedom 

24 hour walk - Sydney

 

From the 18th-20th January 2016 we will be in Sydney holding a day of workshops/film screenings and walking for 24hours!

The walk will begin on Tuesday the 19th!

 

Workshop day 18th January 2016Leichhardt Uniting Church 3 Wetherill St, Leichhardt

1pm Arrive

1:20pm Welcome!

1:30pm Carrie will be speaking about children in detention

2:15pm Documentary- No fire Zone: The Killing Fields of Sri Lanka

3:15pm Debrief

3:30- 4pm Afternoon tea

4pm Workshop by W4F (Indefinite detention/ASIO assessments & what is happening when people are released)

5:15pm The walk- All you need to know!

6pm BBQ dinner at the park (36th Battalion Park - Mackenzie St & Hill St, Leichhardt)

 

All are welcome to come along whenever you can!

 

19th- THE WALK

The walk will begin at 9am. Meet us on the grass between the Department of Immigration and NSW Transport at 26 Lee Street. There will always be someone there to meet you. 

 

For those of you who would like to join us for the very beginning of the walk at 9am, please meet us here at 8:45am to make sure the walk kicks off on time!
